FAQ

WHAT IS THE STANDARD TURN AROUND TIME?

Our standard turn around is usually about 1.5 - 2 weeks depending on the time of the year. If you are in need of a rush repair, please let us know and we can get you pricing. Turn around down to 2 business days is possible.

WHAT DOES A REPAIR COST?

Short answer: it depends. In any case, it's less expensive than a new frame or even crash replacement pricing. Long answer: Each repair is fully custom and unique in its composite layup schedule and refinishing options. Send us a note with photos and we can get a quote going for you.

WHAT WILL MY FRAME LOOK LIKE?

Depending on your cosmetic finishing requests, it can vary. We can usually match most cosmetic weave patters on unpainted frames. The area of the repair is tapered into the existing undamaged fibers creating a smooth transition. Full paint and decal restorations are available by quote, we are partnered with a Boulder based bicycle paint shop.

WHAT WILL MY FRAME RIDE LIKE AND IS IT STRONG?

You won't notice any differences in ride quality. We match the layup pattern of the frame to match the mechanical properties of the frame. The frame will be as strong as new! Some other repair services market their repairs as being stronger than new. While this sounds good, making a frame stronger in one area can create stress concentrations which can cause premature failure in other area.

WILL MY FRAME WEIGH MORE?

Our repairs will typically add 10-20 grams to a frames weight, nothing noticeable by any means.
